The Molecular Genomics core (MGC) was created to provide UTMB investigators access to gene expression analysis through technologies such as custom microarrays and Affymetrix gene chips.

Core Director: Dr. Thomas G. Wood

Dr. Russ Carmical is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry Molecular Biology and a scientist in the Sealy Center for Molecular Medicine. He joined the core in 2000 and oversees the day to day operation of the Molecular Genomics Core.
